What Does It Cover?
The Professional Diploma in Accounting covers the preparation of financial statements, budget management and financial performance review, and optional specialist units, including business tax, personal tax, external auditing, credit management, and cash and treasury management. It covers advanced accounting functions and can have a range of financial roles.
The course consists of three compulsory units (also called subjects) and five optional units. You must pass all required assessments and two optional unit tests to qualify.
How Long Does It Take?
It normally takes 18 months to complete the qualification, but it will depend on the study method and course timetable. It may be completed in nine months.

Exams
You must book your exam as soon as you plan to finish your course. To avoid disappointment, we recommend booking early as this may interfere with your study plans. Note that you still need to book your exams separately. All assessments at this stage are computer-based exams (CBE).
You will be awarded (pass, merit, or distinction) based on your performance. Unit assessments are not graded individually, but the scores obtained in all examinations contribute to your overall grade eligibility.

If you complete this qualification, you can apply to become an AAT Bookkeeping Member (AATQB).
How And Where To Study
You can study distance learning online, in blended learning, or classroom. FC training provides the training even if you choose distance education. Do it part-time or full-time, whichever is right for you.
